Carnival- Under the Big Top - UDGLBT 2015 Prom
Come Together for a Community Celebration of Unity.
Upper Delaware GLBT Center (UDGLBT) announces its third annual GLBTQ and Ally* Prom to be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 7PM. This dinner/dance will be held at the Best Western Inn at Hunt’s Landing, located at 120 Route 6 and 209, Matamoras, PA, 18336. All, ages 14 and up, are welcome to attend. This year's theme is Carnival. Dress to express and please yourself.**
Patty Tomaszewski, Executive Director/UDGLBT said: “The UDGLBT community prom is a place where everyone can feel safe, welcome and accepted. This is a chance for us to meet new friends, build a sense of community with the teens in our area and come together to celebrate our diversity with plenty of food, dancing and entertainment! If your idea of prom is an awesome party atmosphere without feeling judged or bullied, this is the party for you!"
The theme, chosen by the youth of our community, is Carnival - Under the Big Top. This dinner/dance will be held in the Ballroom and will feature that audacious local celebrity “Sugar” with music provided by DJ Flow and Hot –Traxx Entertainment. Formal pictures will be taken and there will also be a photo booth, provided by Flash Shack, for our guests’ enjoyment. All are welcome to attend this exciting community event!
WE HEAR FROM THE ADULTS IN OUR COMMUNITY HOW THEY WOULD LIKE TO HELP THE GLBTQ YOUTH - WELL ITS SIMPLE, AS IN THE PAST, BE A HERO, BY ATTENDING THE PROM AND GIVING OUR YOUNG SOMETHING TO ASPIRE TO WHILE HAVING THE BEST TIME EVER - ASK LAST YEAR'S ATTENDEES
